Job Description:
- Interpret locate requests and street maps.
- Interpret fiber optics, streetlights and traffic signals provided maps/records.
- Set up of safety equipment and work area protection.
- Place roadside safety equipment for traffic control when required.
- Perform utility locates in area where excavation is required.
- Clearly mark utility routes.
- Provide positive response to requester/owner of locate status.
- Assist with investigation of damages to facilities where locate requests were involved.
- Use mobile communications equipment to interface with the main office.
- Able to operate utility locating equipment to find fiber optics, street lights and traffic signals.
- May be required to work on activities that require frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, standing or sitting; assignments outside normal hours of duty.
- Wearing and using safety equipment and uniformed clothing as prescribed by GII practices.
- Employee should possess the skills to perform these duties without immediate supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
- GED, High School Diploma or Higher.
- Valid driver license and able to operate a company vehicle in Washington, DC.
- Able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Description:
- Interpret and read blueprints and maps.
- Receive and dispatch requests to Field Locator Technicians.
- Knowledge of the followings: MS Excel, MS SQL Server, MS Word, MS Access, MS Office, PHP, JSP, C++, C, HTML, ASP.NET, Oracle, Sybase, Web browsers, Lotus, XML, etc.
- Answer multi-line telephones.
- Laziness and excessive talking are not tolerated.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent.
- Valid driver license and able to operate a company vehicle in Washington, DC.
- Able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Good organizational and analytical skills in a fast-pace environment.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 5 years of corporate office experience.
